Schnitt by Alan Rowe
Having specialised in fashion design and illustration, a postgraduate Alan Rowe immersed himself into a career that has met with many aspects of the fashion industry including past work as a freelance illustrator, designer and stylist for numerous prominent magazines and labels across Europe.
Rowe is co-founder and creative force behind bespoke denim label Epoc, which easily differentiated itself from other within the crowded denim market. Merging style, fit and aesthetic by use of high quality textiles such as hand woven, high-grade Japanese denim, Epoc comfortably established itself as a niche, boutique label.
Brighton Fashion Weekend is proud to showcase “Eternal Ingénue”, the premier collection from Schnitt by Alan Rowe, a luxurious, eclectic collection of day and evening wear. References to Victoriana fashion and 1960's skinheads are juxtaposed against evocative silhouettes and a colour palette reminiscent of the matadors of Spain. These striking visuals reflect the strength of the concepts informing Schnitt’s first collection, incorporating both the unexpected and beautiful.
