Founded by Victoria Hinks Taylor, the label will launch its first collection at Brighton Frocks June 2008.
HINKS TAYLOR merges a strong feminine style with an aggressive undercurrent, designed for independent and imaginative women. Classic Silhouettes are teamed with experimental finishes and bold colours schemes to produce provocative and edgy designs.
This first collection has been influenced by fashions of the 1950’s and pays homage to the skirt and dress. Huge full layered skirts, and flashes of thigh are worn with customised t-shirts conjuring imagery of the rockabilly era. Dress silhouettes are reworked with a modern edge, tucked waists lead to undulating hem lines finished with leather trim and an eclectic mix of layered fabrics transforming pretty, into graphic and sexy.
