Liz Bishop – Frocks Director
When Liz’s vision materialized in front of her to a rapturous reception at the Honeyclub in 2005, she knew that Brighton Frocks was here to stay. Since then, the show has gathered momentum and is now seen as the event to showcase talented local designers. Now in its fourth year Liz’s brainchild is firmly established and respected in the city, and is escalating at such a tremendous pace that this June it will excitingly evolve into the first ever Brighton Fashion Weekend!
Having worked in the events industry now for over four years, being involved in everything from pirate parties, product launches, treasure hunts and majestic tall ship events, Liz is extremely knowledgeable about putting together a phantasmagorical show. She is certainly not afraid to defy convention, and sometimes even gravity!
As well as personally hand picking the eclectic mix of twelve talented designers for the 2008 show, Liz has organised an array of interesting workshops and open studios to run throughout the weekend, fabulous discounts for visitors, and of course not forgetting the well deserved Frocks after party!
